As a musician you get inspired by any and everything at anytime, sometimes in ways you don’t expect. Sure we have heard in interviews of the various ways these creative people come by the creations that we love so much. One Rapper A-boogie wit da Hoodie has a line in his hit single “Drowning” that was inspired by the Jamaican movie Shottas.

Shottas is a 2002 Jamaican crime film about two young men who participate in organized crime in Kingston, Jamaica and Miami, Florida. It stars Ky-Mani Marley, Spragga Benz, Paul Campbell and Louie Rankin and was written and directed by Cess Silvera.
